Enlargement of the Western Balkan into the European Union

On September 29, 2023 a high level workshop “Enlargement of the Western Balkans into the European Union took place in Rectorate of the University of Prishtina. This event was organised by the Regional Science Association International and the European Regional Association International. The Western Balkan Alumni Association was represented at the event by Dr. Shukrie Rama and Dr. Jolta Kacani.

Dr. Shukrie Rama presented the main findings of the “Academic mobility or brain drain – Bosnia, Albania, and Kosovo case" project, and received very positive feedback on the importance of this project from the distinguished participants, policy makers and civil society organisations. Dr. Jolta Kacani, one of the main organisers of the workshop followed up with a brief presentation of WBAA mission and activities to bring together relevant actors in the Western Balkans to make sure that the young people’s voices in the region are heard loud and clear.
