What is your motivation to apply for this position to become a board member for the Albanian chapter?
I did my full year exchange in Law at University of Masaryk, Brno, Czech Republic during 2012-2013, as one of the first Erasmus scholars in Albania. Needles to say, that year of experience changed my life. And if this sounds like a big statement, then it definetely helped me grow as a person. Upon the return in Albania, I saw the need for a community like that. I was engaged for several years in Erasmus promotion and mentoring campaigns throughout Albania. When I met WBAA in 2018, I felt I finally had my community of Erasmus people. I have been an active member since then.
I decided to apply this year because I felt that the time was right, both in having the right experience and the time for dedication. I have the same experience with founding and building up from scratch the Albanian Chevening Alumni Association in 202, a beautiful community of professionals, learners, and leaders who are contributing to our country.
I am currently working as Community Engagement and Public Relations Coordinator at "New Perspectives" project, funded by the UK Government. Being a people’s person, I love designing communication campaigns targeted at youth In the county and and maintaining good collaboration with local stakeholders.
But most importantly, I decided to apply because I want to be part of the decision-making and management body of WBAA. I am convinced that development of the higher education is a precondition for the socio-economic and political development of the region.
