What is your motivation for applying for this position to become a board member for one of the relevant chapters?
I am deeply passionate about the mission and values of this organisation and I believe in the positive impact it has on the community. I am very excited to take this oportunity of serving as a board member because I believe I can make a meaningful contribution by activating members and leveraging my demonstrated leadership skills, gained as an active member and project participant/organisator/coordinator. I am committed to fostering collaboration and driving innovation within chapters, aligning with our organisation's goals and vision. I see the board position as an opportunity to work closely with like-minded individuals who share a common vision for the organisation's growth and success. I know I can bring a valuable set of skills and expertise to the board that will contribute to the organisation's success, such as: strategic vision, project management, team leadership, effective communication, network.
What are your plans as a board member (what is your plan of action for the period you are elected)?
As a dedicated member of the WBAA for the past year and a half, I have observed that some fellow members may not be as actively engaged in the organisation's activities as they could be. I intend to address this issue by initiating discussions with both WBAA members and colleagues selected for the Serbian Chapter. My aim is to collaboratively devise an action plan. Since I have extensive background in project management and coordination, my primary objective will be to enhance the quality of our projects. This approach is particularly pertinent given the rising number of applications we are receiving. As the WBAA is a rapidly evolving organisation, it is imperative that we elevate the standard of our projects to match our growth trajectory. My final action item pertains to actively engaging in the team restructuring process, which was among the key resolutions adopted during the most recent General Assembly meeting. Given thatI would be one of the 12 national representitives, the action plans of other representatives should be added to these plans, for the reason that we represent one team.
What skills and qualities do you bring to this position?
I will bring excellent communication skills gained in participating, organising and coordinating numerous projects. This includes confidently speaking in front of diverse audiences, efficiently supervising tasks, making objective assessments, and ensuring clear and assertive information transmission when necessary. Moreover, my time managment skills will contribute to this position.

What is your motivation for applying for this position to become a board member for one of the relevant chapters?
Regional above national and local! Our goal is to join the EU together as the region of the Western Balkans, so, as my dear friend Renata likes to say: "let's adopt a Regional approach and move beyond silos". As a WBAA Board member, I am super motivated to continue my active contribution in engaging new members from the entire region. People who know me well, also know that I am targeting new WBAA members everywhere, during travels, at the airport, BlaBlaCar rides, buses, conferences and even at parties. Every young person of the Western Balkans matters, every part of the Western Balkans matters and every part of Serbia matters. I am free to say that for the last two years I made a huge effort to move out WBAA only from Belgrade and I did my best to bring WBAA to all parts of Serbia, and not only. Within the WBAA community, which today counts over 1.000 registered members, a Serbian chapter is a leader in the number of active members, leader in number of implemented projects and leader in participation in WBAA projects of other WBAA chapters. Pancevo has become the unofficial WBAA capital and the recruiting centre for active WBAA members and WBAA functionaries from the entire Region. Extremely big and hard work is behind it.. Also, I am working actively on involving active and motivated WBAA members in other regional organisations, primarily in the Adriatic-Ionian Youth Network. That's why I am asking you for your support to continue with my duty and what I really enjoy.
What are your plans as a board member (what is your plan of action for the period you are elected)?
As a WBAA Board member I will work on: Engaging and activating as many members as possible from the Serbian chapter (membership analysis). Continuation of work on the WBAA formalisation. Continuation of work on reconstruction and increasing the efficiency of WBAA teams. Support to regional WBAA projects dealing with increasing interaction within the Western Balkans region, providing skills to members of our organisation and improving and internationalising higher education in Serbia. Raising awareness of regional solidarity and sustainable development. Increasing the employability of our members. Empower young people through counseling related to their academic and professional development. Support for Serbia in the EU integration process.
What skills and qualities do you bring to this position?
Decision making skills, project management skills, research skills, leadership skills, communication skills, sustainable development knowledge, teamwork, business development skills, scientific experience, rich mobility experience, regional approach, huge regional and international network, collaboration with other alumni networks from the region and beyond.
Describe yourself in three words:
Collaborative, flexible and supportive.
The promotion of the candidates will run until September 14 and the elections will take place from September 15 to September 22 in the Online Community. Please note that you must be a member of the Serbian chapter to cast your vote in the election.
